Granny's Teeth, "The Beer With Bite"

 Lyme Regis Pictures

Named after the famous steps set into the Cobb Harbour Wall in Lyme Regis our new beer, Granny's Teeth, ABV 6% was brewed to be a good, strong Christmas Ale. It's proved to be very popular and sold out easily so we've made even more! So now that Christmas has passed let's call it a Winter Ale and get on with drinking it.

My word, that looks like a huge glass of our Black Ven, ABV 5% just waiting as encouragement for those brave enough to take on the famous teeth. Now if Louisa Musgrove in Jane Austen's Persuasion had, while flirting with Captain Wentworth, jumped into that instead of his "absent" arms, there would have been no death and unhappiness, just an intoxicating, exciting and happy ending.

On its way to becoming a regular fixture in Lyme's Calendar, the Beer Festival is your opportunity to sample beers and ciders from local breweries and enjoy the best of local food and entertainment - all at the Marine Theatre. And there’s cider for those who just can't get their taste buds around real ale. Come and join in the fun at The Marine Theatre located just around the corner from The Town Mill Brewery.

Cider Man Martin Lea Gives Town Mill Best a "Tick" in Weymouth

Martin Lea was out and about at Weymouth's Annual Beer Festival today. Said Martin in The Dorset Echo: "It is with minimal experience that I arrive at Weymouth Octoberfest ready to try a few ales, under orders from my editor. Keen to support Dorset beers, I select Town Mill Best from Lyme Regis. It’s a malty biscuity brew and pleasant enough that it deserves a tick in my programme."

And that was about the best it got for Martin who's a cider man at heart ... Read the whole story at:
